The 12:00 noon Stations of the Cross on Good Friday were adapted from

A Special Invitation
One of my fondest memories of Monsignor Barry is how often I
would discover him, sneaking away in the midst of the wonderful "fun-fun-fun"
times
so
many of us enjoyed with him, off somewhere in private, devoting some
prime time to prayer. Anyone who visited his house in Newport will recall
his
joyful yet prayerful celebrations of Mass, as well as encountering him
at prayer in his room, whose door was never shut.
Monsignor Barry's body will remain in the church at OLA all night, between
the Vigil Services Thursday evening and the Funeral Mass Friday morning. I
would like to extend a special invitation to those who loved Monsignor
Barry to spend some time in church during the night, doing with him
what he loved the most, praying in he presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
He would love that.
I Love you, Bill. And I love you all. Fr. Tom Welbers
